The Corio Little Athletics Centre has a proud history of over 50 years, supporting young athletes aged 5-16 to enjoy participating in physical activity, learn new skills and reach their full potential within a centre that supports strong community values.
We hold a vital role in our Northern Suburbs community, working hard to increase participation in sport and promoting a healthy, inclusive and responsible lifestyle that encourages social connectedness for our member families.

To be the most welcoming and inclusive family friendly athletics centre in the region.
The City of Greater Geelong provided $1.26m in their 18-19 budget to provide a new track and upgrade our built facilities, providing our centre with a great platform to promote what we do, attract more families, host higher level events and further partner with our local community.
However being in Geelong’s northern suburbs, many of our member families are in lower income households and the costs involved are preventing some families from joining or participating in all experiences on offer.
We work hard to cover our overheads without increasing the cost for our families, which is becoming increasingly difficult. To continue to provide the valuable experience of Little Athletics, we are seeking community support to:
· Provide safe and necessary equipment and uniforms.
· Promote our activities to encourage wider participation.
· Subsidise the cost of participation, to allow more families to participate.
· Assist those in need, providing opportunities to those who might otherwise not be able to
participate.
To grow our centre, increase participation and provide an inclusive program to athletes from all backgrounds and abilities we need committed community partners to co-deliver and share our goals.
How Can You Help?
Affiliated with Little Athletics Victoria Inc., Corio is run by a tireless volunteering team of committee members, coaches, parents, life members and community members who work hard to make our centre the great centre that it is. Many of our team have been with Corio for over 20 years.
Our Centre consists of
· 5 clubs; Corio South, Corio West, Bell Park, Lara and Golden Plains.
· 250 young athletes competing in summer track and field; 50 in winter cross country.
At Corio we
· Welcome and encourage athletes of all abilities and backgrounds and are proud of our
inclusiveness.
· Focus on self improvement and live up to the Little Athletics Victoria motto of
“Family, Fun and Fitness.”
· Celebrate our athletes achieving their personal best in weekly competition.
· Support our athletes competing in Region, State, National and even International competition.
