Volunteer Opportunities

Little Athletics has a wide range of opportunities for people looking to volunteer and we welcome community members to become involved.

  • Learn new skills.
  • Have fun and make new friends.
  • Give back to your community.

Our volunteers are young people and the young at heart. People living with disabilities are welcomed too.

Some roles require a Working With Children Check. First Aiders require HLTAID011 (first aid) and HLTAID009 (CPR) — both are beneficial.

Bring your existing skills, or learn new ones:

  • Canteen & coffee making
  • First Aid
  • Technology
  • Race starting
  • Photography
  • Time keeping
  • Administration
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Event officiating
  • Event helpers — raking sand, picking up equipment, etc.

And more — we have something for everyone!

Volunteer Testimonials

Volunteering helps you meet wonderful and interesting people and seeing the children progress to personal PBs and records gives you great pride.
The atmosphere at little aths is friendly and welcoming and most of all seeing young athletes challenging themselves and having so much fun with their friends is awesome. I really miss my Saturday mornings over winter.
I started volunteering for Corio Little Athletics 4 years ago, I wanted to do something for the community and it was a social outlet for me. For me, feeling connected to a broader purpose is essential for my mental well-being. It’s a beautiful cycle: the more you give, the more connected you feel — leading to a stronger sense of identity and purpose. I really enjoy building relationships with the families that compete at Corio Little Athletics.
